About me

Hi, I'm Théo Manea — a research engineer working on cloud/edge, embedded systems and security.

I graduated from Paris-Saclay University with a Master's degree in Computer Science specialized in Advanced Networks & Optimization.

I enjoy programming with a focus on portability, build systems, systems programming, multimedia and networking.

In 2024, I was an intern at Huawei Research Labs in Paris, where I worked on Trusted Platform Modules (TPM), loop optimization and security topics.

I currently work at Thales Research on cloud and edge computing. My work mainly involves Kubernetes (k8s, k3s, rke2) and deploying containerized solutions in constrained environments, which often requires reworking parts of Kubernetes. I also work on making infrastructure deployment as automated and "zero-touch" as possible.

I work and have worked with the following languages : C/C++, Python, Java, oCaml. Started Rust and Go not long ago.

Outside of work, I'm interested in cybersecurity, mathematics and science in general.

Beyond tech, I love sports. I've played tennis since I was 6 and I also played in my university handball team.
